CAIT-MS Unified Portal (Muzn)

A Dynamics 365 platform for Kuwait government entities, CAIT and Microsoft to manage Microsoft licensing, Azure requests, entity budgets and consumption, support requests and license surveys. I wrote its Dataverse plugin layer and set up the portal on Clean Architecture.

02 Problem

Government entities, CAIT and Microsoft needed one platform to request, review and approve Microsoft licensing and Azure requests.

Approvals pass through several committees, each user may only see their own entities, and approved requests must produce an official, verifiable document.

Each entity works within a budget, so Azure consumption and the expected cost of every request have to be tracked against it.

03 What I did

  • Wrote the Dataverse plugin layer and set up the ASP.NET Core portal on Clean Architecture.
  • Dataverse data model, security roles and Dynamics 365 customization.
  • C# plugins, Custom Workflow Activities and Power Automate for the business workflows.
  • The ASP.NET Core portal on Dataverse, with Microsoft Entra ID sign-in.
  • Real-time notifications, approval routing and signed document generation.
  • Azure integration (Blob Storage, Service Bus, Azure Functions) and automated tests.

  • Licensing & Azure requests

    Requests for Microsoft licenses, Azure projects and support, from submission to approval.

  • Multi-level approvals

    Reviews and decisions across several committees, with a full action history.

  • Role-based portals

    A portal per audience; users only see the entities they are responsible for.

  • Budgets & consumption

    Entity budgets, Azure consumption and expected next-cycle budgets, alongside license payment plans and periodic surveys.

  • Real-time notifications

    Users are notified live when requests they are involved in change.

  • Signed documents

    Approval documents generated with signatures and QR verification.
